Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his first title for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid year, achieving just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally separating with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested three-set victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's maiden title following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court since March of 2023.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at 21 different competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to secure a championship is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in Halle earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching approach and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had prompted commentators to doubt if his capacity to compete at the top level was over.
But the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform aggressively, backed up by an improved service.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five games to take the lead.
The pair traded breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first ATP Tour title, gained dominance to create a decider.
The opponent saved 4 early opportunities in a close deciding set before the Russian broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he secured the win with a rally at the net, with Moutet failing to control a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
